India - Half the city buildings not quake resistant

A major earthquake that has recently rocked Haiti killing thousands of people has raised a question that is the Industrial City equipped to respond to the natural disaster. With more than seven lakh buildings in Kanpur, are there any guesses as to how many of them will stand, if a major earthquake hits the city in the future?
